How to get it

The vast majority of Surrey residents and businesses can now access fibre broadband services from one or more of the two main fibre broadband network providers:

  • Openreach is an Open Access network enabling any Internet Service Provider (such as BT, Sky, PlusNet, Virgin) to offer services on their infrastructure. See Openreach services
  • Virgin Media is a closed Access network which means that only Virgin Media services are available. See Virgin Media services

It’s as easy as 1 – 2 – 3

  • Check whether you can access Superfast broadband by visiting the Department for Culture, Media and Sport’s (BDUK) Broadband Checker.

To confirm what range of speeds may be available to you, visit the BT Wholesale ADSL Checker (enter your landline phone number without a space or click on the Address Link and add your details) or visit Virgin Media

  • Contact your chosen Internet Service Provider (ISP)

Lots of service providers offer fibre broadband for homes and businesses. Check out the deals they have available and choose the one that best meets your needs. For an up to date list of more superfast broadband providers including business providers click here.
